Many close to me call me Ashes. Hailing from the mountain peaks of northwest Montana, I have made my home among the forest. Weaving a deep relationship with the land in which I was born.
In my time here I have held fire to embark on this path of deepening my understanding of the reverence found within our ancestral ties to old ways, an interconnection to the natural world, and the sanctity of death cycles and ritual.
It has led me to far off lands, into the guidance of wisdom keepers, and a great deal of my own healing. Along the way my knowledge has broadened as well as my practice and the spaces I am being called to hold within tattooing.
For me it is always the most fulfilling to create a piece out of collaboration with my client. Often including in-depth symbolism that reflects the meaning of the tattoo. I mostly work with historical and ancestral heritage regarding archeological finds, symbol systems and ideology, however I am happy to work with whatever my client feels called to. It is an intuitive process anchored in theme and connection.
I specialize is black and grey realism, tying that into my love of working with different animals or portrait work inspired by mysticism and mythology. I also offer traditional handpoke, however this practice is limited by technique. And lastly, in some cases, I offer ritualized tattooing which is an entirely different approach and experience.
I’ve been traveling abroad for the past 3 years to develop all of these approaches to enrich the space I hold for both my client and myself.
